Alexander Köberl, Austria, operates Beyond Pouches and is the data controller for the personal data described here. For any privacy request, write to office@beyondpouches.app.
To provide Beyond Pouches Premium we process information about the status of your subscription and the related technical purchase data. On iOS, subscriptions are handled through the Apple App Store; Apple processes the payment. We use RevenueCat to manage and verify Premium entitlements and to keep your Premium status in sync across your devices.
If you buy Premium through our website instead of the app, the purchase is processed by our online reseller Paddle.com, which acts as Merchant of Record for those orders and handles payment, invoicing and tax. In both cases Beyond Pouches receives no full payment or card details.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Some of these providers are based in, or process data in, countries outside the European Economic Area — in particular the United States. Where that happens, we rely on an adequacy decision (including the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified under it) or on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, together with appropriate technical and organisational safeguards such as encryption in transit and access controls. You can ask us at any time which safeguard applies to a specific provider.
We keep account, profile, craving and progress data only for as long as your account exists and the purposes described above require it.
You can delete your account at any time in the app under Settings. Deleting the account removes your profile, craving history, progress and subscription records from our database and deletes your login; we complete deletion or anonymisation within 30 days. Records we must retain for legal, accounting or tax reasons — in particular purchase and transaction records held by Apple or Paddle — are kept for the statutory retention period.
Under the GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, the right to object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and the right to withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing. Email office@beyondpouches.app and we will respond within one month.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority — in Austria, the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde), Barichgasse 40-42, 1030 Vienna.
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest with our providers, and row-level access rules so that each account can only reach its own records.
Beyond Pouches uses only essential storage: a login session token and a local copy of your quit data in your browser's or device's local storage, so the app works offline and loads instantly. We do not use advertising cookies, and we have not integrated any third-party analytics, marketing or tracking services. Product events that help us understand how the app is used stay on your device and are not sent to a third party. Clearing your browser storage signs you out and removes the local copy; data synced to your account remains available after signing back in.
Beyond Pouches supports adults who want to stop using nicotine pouches and comparable nicotine products. It is not directed at children and is not intended for anyone below the legal age for nicotine products in their country. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
